SlapJack

Brennan played his first game of cards today. I taught him to play "slapjack" and he won (mostly on his own) two games!

It was a little suspicious that he knew which cards were Kings and Queens without being told. And he had one of those little green plastic visors too… hmmm…

Next up: teach Tanner "I don't have a competitive bone in my body" Riley to play.

Eventually I'll have all four boys and Mom playing no-limit winner-take-all Texas Hold'em family tournaments.

[First one out does the dishes.]

I remember playing SlapJack with Grandpa for hours. It was one of my favorite things to do with him. I have the sneaky suspicion that he was slow to slap down a few times so I could get a few cards once in a while. I've already taught Brooklyn how to play, although we kinda end up slapping Jacks, Queens, and Kings just becuase they all look alike to her!

Yeah, Tanner didn't really get it so much.
