Somehow my boys don't think they need pants.
As soon as we walk in the door, Brennan, Tanner, and Eli lose their blue jeans and run around the house in their whitey-tighties. Eli may shed his shirt as well and Graham seems to take issue with wearing socks, but the three older boys are likely to be found roaming the house in their underwear and a shirt. They show no compunctions whatsoever about answering the door or greeting company bare-legged. They wrestle, do chores, eat lunch, do schoolwork, etc. only half clothed.
So I regularly insist that they, "go put pants on!"
And, almost without fail, they look at me with genuine intrigue and ask, "Why? Are we going somewhere?"
"No son. Civilized human beings where clothes. Go get some on!"

Glad to know we're not the only ones. Brody and Wyatt refuse to leave their pjs on in bed. On Thanksgiving, when we had family coming through the door and carrying hot food in from the cold weather, Wyatt was running around in the front yard with nothing but his underwear on (I had dressed him 3x already that day) and happy as could be. I just looked at my parents/grandparents and gave them the "I give up" look.
Funny stuff.
Ditto here. Last night Mike B. was over (a regular occurrence, I know). Sean was supposed to be getting pj's on. He came running down the stairs with a shirt in hand, wondering where the matching pants were. Oh, and he had nothing on his body. Repeatedly ignoring mom's cries of "we have company!" we were finally able to push him up the stairs (and coerce him into wearing his underwear).
wow... that's not so much a problem at our place... ever.
Here's a trick, leave the heat off and watch them freeze to death-- they'll figure it out sometime before frostbite sets in. But that doesn't solve the problem the other 8 months of the year when it's warm...
Girls don't seem to have that problem. In fact, Clara refuses to take her fluffy winter coat off when we come inside. That being said, Clara also has a fascination with taking her socks off, but that's only because she's hunting for the "fuzzies" between her toes...
Kelby used to struggle with clothes, but we put an end to that pretty quick with girls in the house.
